…resistance, remembrance, & reclamation.
Here's a Universal Pleasure Devotional—something anyone, in any walk of life, can speak aloud, journal with, or move through daily. It’s sensual, spiritual, sovereign.
Use it as invocation, prayer, or anchor.
Let it become a new breath pattern in the body.
An invitation. 🕯️
….see how it feels to read this out loud.
Devotion to Pleasure •
Today, I honor the sacred pulse of pleasure.
Not as escape, but as arrival.
Not as indulgence, but as instruction.
Pleasure, teach me.
Show me where I’ve gone numb.
Show me where I’ve outsourced joy.
Show me where I hold my breath when I should be receiving.
I no longer need to earn the softness.
I no longer wait until the work is done.
I understand now: my pleasure is a prophecy.
I let joy flood the cracks that ambition could never fill.
I let delight remind me that I am still alive.
Still worthy. Still allowed.
Even in grief.
Even in uncertainty.
Even in the in-between.
Pleasure, I give you permission to guide me.
Through the textures of tea on my tongue,
The way music knows my hips before my mind does,
The warm light kissing my skin as I finish what I started.
Let pleasure be my compass,
My reset button,
My sacred yes.
Because I am not here just to survive.
I am here to remember that aliveness is a holy act.
May I rest in pleasure
May I live in pleasure
May I allow pleasure
May I believe it when I feel it.
An Invitation to Practice:
Read this aloud each morning or before your work.
Place your hands on your belly or heart.
Let one act of pleasure be your “yes” to the day—be it movement, scent, slowness, or sound.
Thank you for your sacred work ✨ i see you sister!
